Hide windows and programs list
Note: For Windows 7/Vista, we recommend that you run Hide Any Window as administrator so you have all necessary permissions.
To hide windows and running programs you should add them to the 'Hide windows and programs' list first.
For more convenience Hide Any Window has a built-in 'Hide windows and programs' list that includes some often used applications such as Internet Explorer, MSN Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, Maxthon, Windows Media Player, InterVideo WinDVD, QuickTime Player and Windows Messenger.

How to add a program to the 'Hide windows and programs' list
Double-click the Hide Any Window desktop icon.
Select 'Tools' in the toolbar and select 'What to hide'.

Click the 'Add' button.
Put the radio button for the 'Hide Program' option.

Select what you want to hide - 'Hide program window' and/or 'Hide tray icon'.
Click the 'Select from running programs and opened windows' or 'Select from running programs in system tray' button and select the necessary program from the 'Programs' list

Or click the 'Browse' button to select the necessary program. Also you may enter the program's full path manually.
In the 'Hide rule ...' area select the 'Program full path' or 'Program name' option.

Note:
- The 'Program full path' option is useful if the program is installed in several locations.
- For Windows 98 and Windows ME you can use the 'Program name' option only.

Put the check mark for the 'Use this rule' option.
Click the 'Save' button.
How to add a window to the 'Hide windows and programs' list
To set the 'hide rule' based on the window or program's title:
Double-click on the Hide Any Window desktop icon.
Select 'Tools' in program toolbar and select 'What to hide'.

Click the 'Add' button.
Put the radio button for the 'Hide Window' option.

Click the 'Select from running programs and opened windows' button to select the window's title or enter it manually.

Select the 'hide' rule for the window's title.

Put the check mark for the 'Use this rule' option.
Click 'Save'.
